Appearance of Partha Sharkie...
Partha Sarathi Prabhu was an inspiration on our trip. Wholly individual and purely devotional. This man is someone to be appreciative of knowing. Partha is in the US Army. Indeed an Army of One! A seargent and twice born. He worships Salagram Shilas, Radha Krsna and Gaura Nitai and chants Japa starting at 2:30 in the morning. In his patrol outfit he has a special pocket which a Nrsimha shila rides with him next to his heart.

First time we met him and we all fell in love. We did so much kirtan and had ample amounts of prasadam. We had a great time just talking about krsna and chanting His holy names, but also... we went swimming. This is where he was tagged with the name Partha Sharkee. He is about five and a half foot tall, about 145 pounds, not so big. He's got tattoos all over him and a shaved head. On the street you'ld be afraid of him but in the water he was something to laugh at. He was so eager to drown us and jump attack us. Even I could hold him down in the water and defeat him! He was like a human Gajendra(Narendra). Water just wasn't his place to fight. The first day we met Partha, Chaitanya and him wrestled just like cowheard boys. As for my maya which Partha so lovingly introduced me to again... earlier in the summer Partha emailed us at krishna camp webiste and ordered a dvd from us. His email was "liberation bikes some thing". I was intrigued . I grew up riding bmx so i still have a taste for it. I did some research and found out that Partha's birth name is ari sonnen... and he rode bmx in long island and in PA. All the old places i used to go to! Wow, someone who is into the same stuff as me, and Krsna. Too good to be true. So of course when we got together on the down time we watched a few bmx videos got the update on all the crazy stuff thats going on now and filled my head with unlimited new desires. I even got back on a bike and tried to do some tricks. I am a washed up oldtimer... I dont have much strength anymore and am out of the loop on how to use my body in that way. It was fun and it made me want to get a bike, a shovel, and hide out in the woods of Nv and build some trails. It would be for purely preaching as i could invite unlimted bmx youth to ride and i could give them prasadam and engage them in service while at the holy dhama. Perfect we have to do it. Purely for preaching.... The Christains do it, why cant the Hindus. We keep the computers why not the bmx bikes...so we stayed for two days and let Gaura Nitai spend some time with Shalagram. By the end of our stay Partha tried to give us a Shalagram shila. I had to run from his offer being scared as to what offenses i could make while travelling. I hurt Partha's feelings and i am sorry for that. We all left on the best of notes and looked forward to seeing each other again in the near future for swimming, bmx, kirtan, prasadam, and Krsna Katha! We had to decline on his offer to stay with him and preach to all the rock stars and mutants in Olympia. One sankirtan devotee did tell me that he sold Nectar of Devotion by saying that it was about "where emotions originally come from"! Maybe we could sell many NOD's in Olympia. The emo capital of the world.
Partha Sharkee Prabhu ki jaya!
