Day Six/Seven December 3rd 4th

Day Six/Seven December 3rd 4th

If the preachers in our Krishna consciousness movement are sincere devotees of Krishna, Krishna will always be with them because He is very kind and favorable to all His devotees. Just as Arjuna and Krishna were victorious in the Battle of Kurukshetra, this Krishna consciousness movement will surely emerge victorious if we but remain sincere devotees of the Lord and serve the Lord according to the advice of the predecessors (the six Gosvamis and other devotees of the Lord). As Narottama dasa Thakura has stated: tandera carana sevi bhakta-sane vasa, janame janame haya ei abhilasha. The Krishna consciousness devotees must always desire to remain in the society of devotees. Bhakta-sane vasa: they cannot go outside the Krishna consciousness society or movement. Within the society we must try to serve the predecessors by preaching Caitanya Mahaprabhu's cult and spreading His name and fame all over the world. If we attempt this seriously within the society, it will be successfully done. There is no question of estimating how this will happen in the mundane sense. But without a doubt, it happens by the grace of Krishna.

Today we headed to Edison New Jersey for their Gita Jayanti Celebration. This congregation is most dedicated and as we like to say, ”fired up”! They want a temple asap and they are definetly going to get one soon. Chanting Bhagavad four three hours is most purifying. It would have been for four but we got lost in New jersey as expected for about an hour or so. New jersey has a special ability to make anyone get lost. Devotees stood up and individually offered some glorification of Bhagavad Gita in their lives. Chaitanya Prabhu got all the old guys riled up with his kirtan and left all the young guys weak armed while playing mridanga. This evening we stayed at the home of HG Devikananda Prabhu. Anyone who knows them can say they are exemplary in all ways. They took nice care of us.

We stayed an extra day due to absolute exhaustion. Gauranga Kishore Prabhu today was left to lay in bed all day to a intense muscle tension. Even in the little bit of travel we can have much empathy for our senior men in this movement who are constantly traveling for the past thirty years preaching and inspiring devotees all over the world. Our humble obeisances to them and our sincere request that they all us to relieve them of their giant burden.

One time I was with My guru maharaja and he said, " I am sick because for the past twenty five years I have been eating for other peoples pleasure."

While traveling we also feel this way. Sometimes one must be quite bold to decline the fifth and sixth serving of prasadam.
