day one

Nov. 28th
Day one starts with two traveling from Columbus Ohio to New Vrindaban to pick up the other two and head in the darkness of night to Morgantown West Virginia. Morgantown holds West Virginia Univeristy. For almost three years college programs have been held training young students to practice KC with all their heart and intelligence. The christian bible study group highjacked our room so we placed our hands near the fake fire place to keep warm and took over the entire lobby. Everything is Krishna's! Chaitanya wraps up the last program of the semester and says good byes to some long attending devotees who are leaving to work responsibly in society while worshipping the Lord of their Hearts Sri Sri Radha Vrindaban Chandra from a distance. Kirtan and more Kirtan. Even our Iranian yoga father sings a little tune he composed and schools us on the beautiful similarities of Rumi and the Gita! We stay the night at the home of a few Vaisnava youth. It is quite wonderful that from a young ages they are accomadating, affectionate, and filled with the desire to serve and inquire as to how to apply KC to their lives in some way or another. They are clearly the beast preachers. Oh I forgot, stayed up til two watching the movie, “School of Rock”. And GKD forgot his Passport in NV one of the key items to be remembered yet forgotten as he was to obtain a visa to India in DC. One time one of my temple presidents said, “ when you embark on a journey there is no turning back! One time his sankirtan leader wouldn’t even turn around to retrieve a devotees japa beads left outside a bath room. They were chanted on by Srila PRabhupada!” Being trained in such away we didn’t head back yet used our intelligence to figure out that he could get the passport sent to NYC and he could get it there later!...
