anacortes to port townsend

The road without. Without what? Depends on your perspective. Here are some of the perspectives encountered while en route from anacortes to port townsend. we covered about 35 miles in 4 hours.

the ferry leaving port in anacortes bound for port townsend. a welcome half hour break of pure avocado sandwich ecstacy

they dont call it deception pass for nothing. this volvo got its wheel and axle ripped clean off when the lady driving tried a little too hard to see the sights and almost went over the edge. lucky for her as it is about a 300 foot drop. caused a 5 mile traffic jam for the cars, but the bikes rolled right thru. we had the best view too. could look right over the rail without even stopping. saw huge whirlpools and other things in the 300 foot deep river below

bay views. they pay half a million dollars for theirs, we pay a few hundred pedals for ours.

the ferry docked

more deception pass bridge views. pictures cant do it justice. thats cd in the black on the edge, gettin deceived
